Job summary

Greene King is seeking a General Manager for a busy pub, giving you ownership to shape its next chapter. You will lead from the front, drive performance, and develop the food and drinks offer while building on a strong sports-following reputation.

You’ll grow events, manage a large indoor space and front garden, and work with the team to deliver high customer experiences. A Personal Licence is preferred or obtainable.

Qualifications

• This is a role for an experienced pub leader who can drive a busy operation.
• Ideally you have proven GM/Pub Manager or experienced Assistant Manager experience.
• Strong hospitality background with high-volume or wet-led pub exposure.
• A genuine interest in sport, particularly football.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the front to create an energetic atmosphere for customers and staff.
• Drive overall pub performance and identify growth opportunities.
• Develop the food offer and strengthen the drinks-led reputation.
• Grow events and entertainment, including DJs, quizzes, live music and private celebrations.
• Enhance the pub's live sport offer with Sky Sports and TNT Sports.
• Recruit, coach and develop a brilliant team and foster a positive culture.
• Collaborate with management to maintain high standards and develop digital presence.
