Job summary

First Bus Huddersfield Depot is seeking a PSV/HGV Technician to diagnose, repair and service buses and heavy vehicles. The role includes on-site servicing and occasional on-road breakdown support, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Applicants should hold NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds equivalents in vehicle maintenance, be flexible and multi-skilled, and have a UK driving licence; a PCV licence is desirable and training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and carry out vehicle repairs, servicing and parts replacement
• Diagnose faults and specify correct repair method and parts
• Carry out vehicle servicing and routine examinations using data capture devices
• Attend on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries as needed
• Carry out road tests to identify defects after repairs
