Job summary

Rocket Staffing Group Ltd is recruiting an experienced PSV/Bus Technician to join a busy Stoke-on-Trent team. You will diagnose and repair vehicles, service and replace parts, and perform road tests as needed.

The role offers 40 hours per week, 5 days over 7 with early (6am-2pm) and late (2pm-10pm) shifts, plus weekends on a rotation. Salary is £18.64–£27.97 per hour and a pension scheme is available.

A UK driving license is required; PCV license is desirable with training available.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 NVQ/SVQ (or City & Guilds equivalent) in vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Flexible, multi-skilled approach to work.
• UK driving license holder; PCV license desirable (training can be provided).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and carry out vehicle repairs, servicing, and parts replacement.
• Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used.
• Carry out vehicle servicing and routine examinations using handheld data capture devices where applicable.
• Attend on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries as required.
• Carry out vehicle road testing where necessary to identify defects or post-repair issues.

• Carry out vehicle road testing where necessary to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair

Requirements:

• Do you have a minimum Level 3 NVQ/SVQ (or City & Guilds equivalent) qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair?
• Do you have a flexible approach to work with the ability to multi skill?
• Are you a UK driving license holder? A PCV license is desirable however we can help you achieve this
