Job summary

Auto Skills UK are recruiting a PSV Technician to join a busy workshop in Bishop's Stortford on a late shift. You will service, maintain and repair PSV vehicles, diagnosing faults and preparing vehicles for MOT/DVSA inspections.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle, PSV or equivalent.
• Experience as PSV/HGV/Commercial Vehicle Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Understanding of vehicle safety and compliance.
• Reliable and flexible approach to work.
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
• PSV Licence advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on PSV vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults.
• Complete routine safety inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and DVSA inspections.
• Accurately complete job cards and maintenance documentation.
• Respond to vehicle defects and breakdowns where required.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to company and DVSA standards.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

PSV TECHNICIAN - LATE SHIFT

Location: Bishop's Stortford

Salary: £23.00 per hour + Pay Rise Following Probation

Hours: Full Time | Late Shift

Saturday Rota: 1 in 5

Sunday: 1 in 5 On-Call Rota

Are you an experienced PSV Technician looking for a new opportunity with excellent pay, a late shift pattern and ongoing career development? We are currently recruiting for a skilled PSV Technician to join a busy and well-established workshop team based in Bishop's Stortford.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Technician to work on a fleet of buses and coaches, carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs to the highest standards. The successful candidate will join the late shift team and play a key role in ensuring vehicles are maintained safely, efficiently and ready for operation.

The Role:

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on PSV vehicles

What We're Looking For:

• Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle, PSV or equivalent
• Previous experience as a PSV Technician, HGV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Good understanding of vehicle safety and compliance requirements
• A reliable and flexible approach to work
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred
• PSV Licence advantageous but not essential
