Job summary

Salford City Council is seeking a Registered Manager to lead Granville Respite/Short Breaks Service in Eccles. You will oversee a 14-bed facility, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care for individuals aged 14 and above with learning or physical disabilities, autism or complex needs, in line with CQC standards.

You will drive service development, quality assurance, budgeting and stakeholder engagement, delivering compassionate leadership and strategic oversight to empower people to live

Qualifications

• Qualified Registered Manager with Level 5 in Health & Social Care or Leadership and Management.
• CQC interview process completed with demonstrable experience managing a similar care setting.
• Excellent communicator with team leadership, stakeholder engagement and navigating complex care requirements.
• Ability to plan, manage and coordinate operational services budgets, including staffing within budget constraints.
• Experience in the management of Complex Safeguarding cases, MCA and DoLs processes.
• Excellent IT skills, report writing and presentation skills.
• Passionate, innovative and committed to empowering people to achieve goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership to the Granville team.
• Ensure delivery of high‑quality, person‑centred care aligned with legislation and CQC standards.
• Adapt to changing care needs, drive continuous quality improvement and service development.
• Build strong collaborations with families, carers, health professionals, commissioners and stakeholders.
• Maintain rigorous quality assurance systems to monitor outcomes and ensure services are fit for purpose.
