Job summary

Salford City Council is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead Granville Respite/Short Breaks Service in Eccles. The service provides 14 beds of short-term respite care for individuals aged 14+, with learning or physical disabilities, autism, complex behaviours, or health needs.

The post involves strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement, and robust quality assurance. The successful candidate will drive service development, ensure person-centred care, manage budgets, and navigate

Qualifications

Qualified Registered Manager with Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care or Leadership and Management.
Experience managing a similar care setting.
Experience completing the CQC interview process.
Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
Ability to plan, manage operational budgets within constraints.
Experience in Complex Safeguarding, MCA and DoLs processes.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic and operational leadership to Granville Respite/Short Breaks Service.
Ensure delivery of high-quality, person-centred care in line with legislation and CQC standards.
Adapt to changing care needs with continuous quality improvement and service development.
Build strong, collaborative relationships with families, carers, health professionals, commissioners and stakeholders.
Maintain rigorous quality assurance systems to monitor outcomes and ensure services are responsive and fit for purpose.
