Job summary

Hampshire County Council is seeking a Provider Payments Team Manager to lead the Carer & Provider Payment Support Team. You will drive payment accuracy, efficiency, and outcomes for providers, carers and service users, while guiding a high-performing team and shaping strategic direction.

You will oversee business management across the service, lead improvements, manage priorities and ensure deadlines are met, collaborating with senior colleagues and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Substantial senior management experience leading and managing multiple sub-teams in a payment/financial environment.
• Solid understanding of social care payment processes and relevant legislation.
• Excellent organisational, planning and business management skills with ability to manage priorities and risks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop managers and teams, creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee end-to-end payment service processes and drive service improvements.
• Build and maintain relationships with providers, Direct Payment recipients and stakeholders; resolve complex enquiries and complaints.
