Job summary

Omicron electronics GmbH in the United Kingdom seeks a technically skilled professional to provide consultation, training and on-site support for protection testing equipment used in digital protection systems. You will troubleshoot, deliver classroom and webinar training, and contribute to product development while engaging with customers across generation, transmission and distribution sectors.

Travel up to 50% is expected, with opportunities to present at conferences and develop technical

Qualifications

• Graduate education in electronics or electrical engineering.
• Several years of experience in power systems, especially in the fields of substation protection apparatus.
• Customer support experience and enjoy giving training in both classroom and field environment.
• Pro-active and open personality.
• Service-oriented and enjoy working with customers and our motivated team.
• Communication and organizational skills are among your strengths.
• Flexible, and would enjoy traveling to other countries.

Responsibilities

• Provide product consultation, training and support on protection testing and diagnostic equipment for our digital protection systems.
• Troubleshoot technical problems for customers and sales support; provide on-site support.
• Develop and deliver training for OMICRON's products, in person and via webinars.
• Provide input on new products, product strategies, development, and application needs.
• Be involved with power system assets in generation, transmission & distribution areas.
• Manage and develop application notes and technical papers, including presentations at seminars/conferences.
• Travel up to 50%.
