Job summary

Siemens AG in the UK is seeking an Applications Engineer to work on power system protection, protection relays and substation solutions. You will design, test and commission protection schemes, support testing, and collaborate with customers, sales and project teams to deliver reliable energy infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of electrical power systems and protection principles.
• Clear communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with protection relays and confidence in testing & commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, test and commission protection solutions for critical power infrastructure.
• Develop protection schemes and support FAT, SAT and secondary injection testing.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting and training to customers.
• Work with customers to understand challenges and craft engineering solutions.
• Collaborate with sales, tendering and project teams on bids and proposals.
• Contribute to new technologies and innovative protection solutions.
• Build relationships with customers and colleagues while expanding knowledge.
• Ensure compliance by handling registrations and ENA assessments.
