Job summary

Ross-Shire Engineering Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a Proposals Engineer to deliver detailed tender submissions and provide financial support through the proposal stages. You will manage the entire process from creating proposals to presenting the final document to the client, ensuring timely submissions.

The role requires experience in proposal preparation, cost estimation, and strong communication skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines and managing multiple opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in proposal preparation, technical writing, and cost estimation within construction, engineering, manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proposal management software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple proposals.

Responsibilities

• To provide leadership on all opportunities relating to proposals, tendering, and contract review requirements.
• Develop the proposal and tendering strategies, along with the delivery plans, for new opportunities.
• Review tender documents assessing scope, risks involved, tender complexity, and provide feedback.
• Ensure tender and/proposal documents are dispatched in time to meet submission deadlines.
• Pricing tenders in accordance with Framework agreed Schedules of Rates and Prices, if required.
• Effectively manage the delivery of the completed tender pack to the client.
