Job summary

RSE is seeking a Trainee Proposals Engineer to join the Chemical and Wastewater Solutions team on a permanent basis. You will support detailed tender submissions, provide financial and commercial management support, and help maintain cost performance across UK projects with our MBBR products.

The role suits someone with engineering/technical experience looking to move into proposals, with full development provided to build a long-term career in the industry.

Qualifications

• Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Understanding of project management principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proposal management software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple proposals.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership on opportunities relating to proposals, tendering, and contract review requirements.
• Develop proposal and tendering strategies and delivery plans for new opportunities.
• Review tender documents assessing scope, risks, complexity, and provide feedback.
• Ensure tender and proposal documents are dispatched on time to meet submission deadlines.
• Price tenders in accordance with framework schedules of rates and prices, if required.
• Deliver the completed tender pack to the client.
