Job summary

Clyde Valley Group is seeking a Property Services Technical Inspector to oversee responsive repairs, void, cyclic and planned maintenance across our housing stock. You will inspect, QA and provide technical oversight, reporting to the Property Services Senior Contract Lead.

You will ensure works meet specifications, safety requirements and customer expectations, while generating detailed defect reports and clarifying complex findings for non-technical colleagues and customers.

Qualifications

• SCQF level 7 qualification in building, construction or surveying or related discipline.
• Experience conducting property inspections relating to repairs, maintenance, or construction works.
• Understanding of landlord statutory health and safety requirements (gas, electrical, fire safety, water hygiene, etc.).
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage workloads, priorities and competing demands effectively.
• Understanding of quality assurance and inspection processes within repairs and maintenance services.
• Full UK Driving License.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an efficient and effective responsive repairs service with high customer satisfaction.
• Undertake inspections to identify defects within void properties per Void Management Policy timescales.
• Monitor and report on consultants/contractors, ensuring works meet specifications, cost controls and customer expectations.
• Produce detailed reports on repairs/defects with recommendations for remedial work.
• Interpret and explain technical reports on repairs/defects/stock condition to non-technical audiences.
