Job summary

Capita's Tascor Central Property Store in Middlesbrough is recruiting a Central Property Clerk. You will manage evidence and lost property, drive a van locally, and maintain records in NICHE RMS and Excel.

The role involves weekend daytime shifts and requires police vetting, with full UK driving licence essential. You will handle enquiries, ensure data protection compliance, and support Officers and the public while following health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to learn IT systems (incl. basic MS Word/Excel).
• Physical capability for regular lifting/moving of items.
• Proactive and flexible with attention to detail.
• UK residency: lived in the UK for at least 3 years (vetting requirement).

Responsibilities

• Collect and safely store items seized by Police using NICHE RMS; drive a van.
• Look after lost property and contact rightful owners.
• Enter information from interviews into Excel.
• Answer calls, emails and messages professionally.
• Assist Police Officers, staff and public with inquiries.
• Follow health and safety rules when handling property.
