Job summary

Capita is recruiting for a Central Property Clerk based at Middlesbrough Police Station. You will manage evidence and lost property, travel by van, and handle records with care and compliance. A full UK driving licence and vetting requirements apply.

The role involves lifting and moving items, assisting officers and the public, and using NICHE RMS and Excel for data entry. Capita supports development and offers a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required for regular van driving.
• Willingness to learn IT systems including Word & Excel.
• Physically fit for regular lifting and moving of items.
• UK residency in the UK for at least 3 years for vetting.

Responsibilities

• Collect and safely store items seized by Cleveland Police and lost property.
• Travel around the force area driving a van.
• Enter information from interviews into Microsoft Excel.
• Answer phone calls, emails and other messages professionally.
• Assist Police Officers, staff and public at the Property Office.
• Follow all health and safety rules when handling property.
