Job summary

Hundred Houses Society in Cambridge is seeking a Property Compliance Officer to help keep our homes safe and compliant. The role supports the Compliance and Health & Safety Manager, monitoring gas, electrical, fire safety, asbestos, water hygiene and lifting equipment across our properties.

You will maintain records, validate documentation, manage contractor performance and ensure timely completion of safety works, reporting findings and improving processes as needed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on property compliance experience, preferably in social housing.
• Experience across gas, electrical, fire safety, asbestos and water hygiene programmes.
• Strong data management, record-keeping and KPI awareness.
• Ability to work with contractors and customers to resolve access and safety issues.
• DBS clearance is required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate compliance records and dashboards for reports.
• Quality-check safety certificates for validity and completeness.
• Monitor compliance programmes and due dates with contractors.
• Raise orders for remedial works and track progress within budgets.
• Report on compliance and contractor performance against KPIs.
• Support audits with clear evidence and documentation.
• Answer questions, arrange access and share safety information clearly.
• Attend contract meetings and help improve systems for damp, mould and condensation.
