Job summary

Deekay Technical Recruitment is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to lead statutory compliance across a social housing portfolio of approximately 8,000 homes. You will report to the Fire Safety and Compliance Manager and oversee gas, electrical, water hygiene, asbestos, and LOler management to meet statutory timescales.

You will build and lead a team of compliance officers, driving performance, strengthening contractor management, and improving data and reporting to support regulatory

Qualifications

• Experience leading statutory compliance programmes for large housing portfolios.
• Proven ability to manage inspections, servicing and certification to deadlines.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and driven Compliance Manager to lead the operational delivery of statutory compliance across a social housing portfolio of approximately 8,000 homes.

Reporting to the Fire Safety and Compliance Manager, the role will be responsible for ensuring that all landlord compliance obligations, excluding fire safety, are effectively managed, delivered and evidenced. Key areas of responsibility include gas safety, electrical safety, water hygiene, asbestos management, lifts and lifting equipment (LOLER).

The successful candidate will lead a team of specialist compliance officers and managers, ensuring that inspections, servicing, remedial works and certification are completed in line with statutory requirements and within the required timescales.

The role will also focus on driving performance, strengthening contractor management, and improving compliance data, systems and reporting across all relevant areas.

This is a key operational leadership role, helping to ensure residents live in safe and compliant homes while supporting the wider compliance assurance framework and meeting relevant regulatory obligations.
