Job summary

Niyaa People Ltd is recruiting a Compliance Officer in Hertfordshire for a hybrid role, delivering health and fire safety compliance across multiple sites and maintaining precise documentation for records.

You will coordinate with external contractors, respond to tenants and public inquiries on compliance matters, and support continuous improvement while upholding high safety standards and a strong customer service ethos.

Qualifications

• Experience working within a social housing setting in a similar role.
• Experience with Excel, Word and in-house databases.
• Full UK driving licence and enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Compliance Checks: Conduct routine inspections and compliance checks at various sites to ensure adherence to health and safety and fire safety. Accurately complete and maintain compliance documentation. Update records and systems to reflect the current compliance status of all properties
• Contractor Coordination: Collaborate with external contractors to ensure timely completion of compliance works and cyclical maintenance. Verify adherence to safety standards and contract terms
• Customer Service: Handle inquiries and complaints from tenants, councillors, and the public regarding compliance matters. Arrange appointments and address concerns while maintaining high standards of service
