Job summary

Niyaa People is recruiting a Compliance Officer for a Derby-based role offering hybrid working, weekly pay and potential permanent placement. You will support the compliance team and ensure property sites comply with health and safety, fire safety, and environmental regulations.

You will inspect sites, maintain records, coordinate with external contractors, and respond to tenant inquiries with high service standards.

As the Compliance Officer you will be:

• Compliance Checks: Conduct routine inspections and compliance checks at various sites to ensure adherence to health and safety, fire safety, and environmental regulations
• Documentation and Records: Accurately complete and maintain compliance documentation. Update records and systems to reflect the current compliance status of all properties
• Contractor Coordination: Collaborate with external contractors to ensure timely completion of compliance works and cyclical maintenance. Verify adherence to safety standards and contract terms
• Customer Service: Handle inquiries and complaints from tenants, councillors, and the public regarding compliance matters. Arrange appointments and address concerns while maintaining high standards of service

Qualifications the Compliance Officer will need:

• Experience working within a social housing setting in a similar role.
• Experience with Xcel, word and in house databases
• Knowledge of the compliance requirements

What you will receive as the Compliance Officer :

• Hourly rate between £22-£25, dependent on experience
• Flexible working
• On going contract, with the potential to be extended and to go permanent
