Niyaa People Ltd in Derby is seeking a Compliance Officer to support the compliance team on a flexible, hybrid basis. The role involves site inspections, maintaining records, and coordinating with external contractors to ensure safety standards and regulatory adherence.

You will handle tenant and public inquiries about compliance, contribute to ongoing safety improvements, and help keep documentation up to date. The position offers weekly pay and potential permanent progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in a social housing setting in a similar role.
• Experience with Excel, Word and in-house databases.
• Knowledge of the compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and compliance checks at various sites to ensure adherence to health and safety, fire safety, and environmental regulations.
• Accurately complete and maintain compliance documentation. Update records and systems to reflect the current compliance status of all properties.
• Collaborate with external contractors to ensure timely completion of compliance works and cyclical maintenance.
• Handle inquiries and complaints from tenants, councillors, and the public regarding compliance matters.

As the Compliance Officer you will be:

• Compliance Checks: Conduct routine inspections and compliance checks at various sites to ensure adherence to health and safety, fire safety, and environmental regulations
• Documentation and Records: Accurately complete and maintain compliance documentation. Update records and systems to reflect the current compliance status of all properties
• Contractor Coordination: Collaborate with external contractors to ensure timely completion of compliance works and cyclical maintenance. Verify adherence to safety standards and contract terms
• Customer Service: Handle inquiries and complaints from tenants, councillors, and the public regarding compliance matters. Arrange appointments and address concerns while maintaining high standards of service

Qualifications the Compliance Officer will need:

• Experience working within a social housing setting in a similar role.
• Experience with Xcel, word and in house databases
• Knowledge of the compliance requirements

What you will receive as the Compliance Officer :

• Hourly rate between £22-£25, dependent on experience
• Flexible working
• On going contract, with the potential to be extended and to go permanent
