Job summary

Tata Steel UK is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to own all mechanical engineering design aspects for Project Engineering at the Shotton site. You will translate concepts into 3D models using Catia/SolidWorks/Inventor and generate detailed drawings, BOMs, calculations and manuals for manufacture and testing.

You will work to maintain existing legacy models, support plant engineers, and participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in engineering required.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical engineering design across projects.
• Create 3D models, drawings, BOMs and manuals.
• Ensure designs interface with existing equipment and avoid clashes.
• Maintain legacy models and drawings and organise files.
• Provide engineering support to plant engineers and teams.
• Commit to ongoing training and professional development.
