Job summary

Skilled Careers are recruiting a Project Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a leading Main Tier social housing contractor working on a large planned maintenance social housing contract throughout the West Midlands. You will manage the commercial aspects of social housing and new build domestic projects from pre-contract through to final account, ensuring costs are controlled and value is protected.

Qualifications

• PQ S experience within social housing or residential construction.
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
• Own transport essential.
• Willing to work from the Birmingham office, with the option of Hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial aspects of social housing and new build domestic projects from pre-contract through to final account, ensuring costs are controlled and value is protected throughout.
• Preparing cost estimates, budgets and valuations across social housing planned contracts.
• Managing subcontractor accounts, variations and final accounts.
• Monitoring project costs against budget and reporting to senior management.
• Liaising with local authority client on commercial matters.
• Supporting procurement and contract administration.
