Job summary

WPS is looking for an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join our team delivering planned maintenance and refurbishment works for a major council housing client, including High-Rise Residential Buildings (HRBs).

In this fast-paced, client‑facing role you will manage the commercial delivery from start to final account, prepare budgets and CVRs, procure subcontractors, oversee payments, and identify commercial risks while fostering strong relationships with operational teams and supply chain

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Project Surveyor within social housing, planned maintenance, refurbishment, or construction.
• Strong commercial management and cost control experience.
• Previous involvement in HRB, refurbishment, or D&B projects.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholder relationships.
• Strong understanding of contract administration and commercial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial delivery of planned maintenance projects from start to final account.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, CVRs, and commercial reports.
• Procure and manage subcontractors and supplier packages.
• Oversee valuations, applications for payment, and cost recovery.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout the programme.
• Build strong relationships with operational teams, clients, and supply chain partners.
