Job summary

Hygrove Partners Ltd in the West Midlands is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial aspects of social housing and new build residential projects from pre-contract through final account.

You will prepare cost estimates, budgets and valuations, handle subcontractor accounts and variations, monitor costs against budget and liaise with housing associations to protect value. Own transport and CSCS card are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) preferred.
• Experience in social housing or residential construction.
• CSCS card required.
• Own transport and willingness to travel to Walsall region.

Hygrove Partners are recruiting a Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a leading and fast-growing, modern construction company, working on social housing and new build domestic projects across the West Midlands.

The Role

Managing the commercial aspects of social housing and new build domestic projects from pre-contract through to final account, ensuring costs are controlled and value is protected throughout.

• Preparing cost estimates, budgets and valuations across social housing and new build domestic contracts
• Managing subcontractor accounts, variations and final accounts
• Monitoring project costs against budget and reporting to senior management
• Liaising with housing association clients on commercial matters
• Supporting procurement and contract administration

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) preferred
• Proven QS experience within social housing or residential construction
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills
• Valid CSCS card essential
• Own transport essential
• Willing to work from Walsall and surrounding areas
