Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Project Planner for energy infrastructure projects in Glasgow. The role focuses on developing and managing detailed project programmes from tender through construction, ensuring alignment with scope, contract requirements, and delivery targets.

You will support NEC3/NEC4 programme requirements, resource and cost forecasting, procurement and design coordination, and provide clear programme updates to keep projects safe, efficient, on time and within budget.

Qualifications

  • Experience as Project Planner in an Energy environment.
  • Understanding of NEC3/NEC4 processes and requirements.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, monitor and maintain project programmes across tender and construction phases.
  • Develop Work Breakdown Structures aligned with project scope.
  • Ensure programmes are compliant with NEC3 and NEC4 requirements.
  • Identify delay drivers and maintain programme records for entitlement claims.
  • Visiting sites where required.
  • Monday to Friday, 8-5 with a minimum of 3 days in the office.

Project Planner (Energy Infrastructure)

£50,000 – £60,000 + Hybrid + 25 Days Holiday + Yearly Bonuses + Private Medical + Production

Glasgow

Are you a Project Planner, with experience in Civil Engineering and Energy Projects, looking to join a growing, yet well-established contractor?

On offer is the opportunity to join an innovative, sustainability-focused, owner-managed civil engineering contractor operating across multiple sectors. The company operates as both a Principal and Subcontractor, with recent expansion into the energy market.

You will take ownership of developing and managing detailed project programmes from tender through to construction, ensuring they align with project scope, contractual requirements and delivery targets.

You will also support NEC3/NEC4 programme requirements, resource and cost forecasting, procurement and design coordination, providing clear programme updates to help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget.

This role would suit a Project Planner with experience working across Energy Infrastructure projects.

The Role

  • Experience using Primavera P6
  • Degree or similar in Civil Engineering or related field
