Job summary

Bimplus in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Managing Planner to lead planning for major infrastructure schemes across Scotland. You will develop detailed programmes, manage baseline and updates using Primavera P6, monitor progress, and coordinate with site and office teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Planner within civil engineering, infrastructure or construction sectors.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Experience developing and managing programmes on complex infrastructure projects.
• Excellent understanding of project planning methodologies and critical path analysis.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts would be highly advantageous.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with both site and office-based teams.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and maintain detailed project programmes from tender stage through to project completion.
• Produce baseline programmes, updates and revised programmes using Primavera P6.
• Monitor project progress and identify risks, opportunities, delays and mitigation strategies.
• Work closely with operational teams, engineers, commercial staff and senior management to ensure programmes are realistic and achievable.
• Analyse critical paths and provide regular progress reporting.
• Support project teams with resource planning and forecasting.
• Attend project meetings and provide programme updates to key stakeholders.
• Assist with claims, extension of time assessments and programme-related contractual requirements.
• Ensure programmes align with client requirements and project objectives.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced planner to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure projects across Scotland. Working as part of an established project team, you will play a key role in the successful planning, programming and delivery of complex multi-million-pound civil engineering schemes.
