Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a P6 Project Planner for Electrical Infrastructure in Glasgow. You will develop and manage detailed programmes from tender through construction, ensuring alignment with scope, NEC3/NEC4 rules, and delivery targets.

Hybrid working arrangement with a 8-5 role and offices required at least 3 days per week. The package includes £50,000–£60,000 salary, annual bonuses, private medical cover, and 25 days holiday.

Qualifications

• Experience as Project Planner in Electrical Infrastructure and Public Interface projects.
• Knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 processes and requirements.
• Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor and maintain project programmes across tender and construction phases.
• Ensure programmes align with project scope, contractual requirements and delivery targets.
• Support NEC3/NEC4 programme requirements and procurement coordination.
• Identify delay drivers and maintain programme records for entitlement claims.
• Occasional site visits to monitor progress and update plans.

P6 Project Planner (Electrical Infrastructure)

Glasgow

Are you a Project Planner, with experience in Civil Engineering and Electrical Infrastructure Projects, looking to join a growing, yet well-established contractor?

On offer is the opportunity to join an innovative, sustainability-focused, owner-managed civil engineering contractor operating across multiple sectors. The company operates as both a Principal and Subcontractor, with recent expansion into the energy market.

You will take ownership of developing and managing detailed project programmes from tender through to construction, ensuring they align with project scope, contractual requirements and delivery targets.

You will also support NEC3/NEC4 programme requirements, resource and cost forecasting, procurement and design coordination, providing clear programme updates to help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget.

This role would suit a Project Planner with experience working across Electrical Infrastructure and Public Interface projects

The Role

• Develop, monitor and maintain project programmes across tender and construction phases
• Develop Work Breakdown Structures aligned with project scope
• Ensure programmes are compliant with NEC3 and NEC4 requirements
• Identify delay drivers and maintain programme records to support entitlement claims
• Visiting sites where required
• Monday to Friday, 8-5 with a minimum of 3 days on the office

The Person

• Experience working as Project Planner within an Electrical Infrastructure environment on Public Interface projects
• Background adhering to NEC 3 and NEC 4 processes
• Degree in Civil Engineering or similar
