Job summary

BT Group in Glasgow is recruiting a Project Manager for Scotland to lead large telecoms and network projects for business customers. You will work with customers, senior stakeholders and delivery teams to turn programme outcomes into measurable business value while upholding governance and high delivery standards.

This role offers a hybrid work model (3 days in the office, 2 from home) with occasional travel to customer meetings.

About the role

As a Project Manager within BT Business, you’ll lead the delivery of large and complex telecoms and network projects for medium and large business customers across the UK. You’ll work with customers, senior stakeholders and delivery teams to turn programme outcomes into meaningful business value while maintaining clear governance and high delivery standards. This is an opportunity to manage highly visible work, solve complex challenges and make a direct contribution to customer success.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead large or complex projects, programmes and portfolios, taking ownership of delivery outcomes, benefits and risks.
• Manage project risks, budgets, milestones and contractual commitments, adapting your approach to suit each delivery environment.
• Partner with customers to understand their priorities, resolve issues and deliver solutions that create measurable business value.
• Provide clear visibility of demand, resources and delivery progress to programme, PMO and resourcing teams.
• Collaborate with Practice and Hub Managers, Client Services and other stakeholders to support consistent, high-quality delivery.

Essential Skills / Experience

• Complex project delivery: The ability to lead technically complex telecoms or network projects, using appropriate project management methods to achieve successful outcomes.
• Commercial and financial management: Experience managing significant budgets, interpreting commercial agreements and identifying financial risks, opportunities and improvements.
• Stakeholder and customer leadership: Strong communication, decision‑making and relationship-management skills, with the ability to bring customers and senior stakeholders together around shared goals.

Desirable Skills / Experience

• Experience delivering technologies such as core networks, WAN/LAN, cloud voice or contact centre solutions.
• Experience managing projects across different customer sectors or technology environments.
• Knowledge of project management governance, standards, reporting tools and PMO processes.
• Experience helping teams embed consistent delivery methods and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
