About the role

In your role as Project Manager - New Business Lead you will make a meaningful and valued contribution from the outset. This role will provide a great opportunity tobe responsible for managing our new business change process, from assessing the initial request, through to approvals and implementation.

The scope of the role includes delivery of new assets, products, instruments, mandates, execution platforms, markets and counterparties.

This role works closely with teams across the business including senior stakeholders and Heads of Desk in the front office.
You will work within the defined change process to ensure changes are assessed, planned, managed and communicated effectively across all teams, with opportunities to continually improve the process.

This role requires experience and understanding of good practice in change management, financial services experience (preferably within asset management) and strong knowledge of financial products and instruments.

What you will be doing

As a trusted part of the Operations you will be responsible for:

  • Act as the main point of contact for front office teams’ new requests
  • Coordinate initial assessments and impact evaluations with stakeholders
  • Support the approval and prioritisation of initiatives, including Business Case production
  • Manage Steering Committee, including COO and Front Office Heads of Desk
  • Lead end-to-end project management, from planning to go-live
  • Provide clear status updates to stakeholders, including executives
  • Identify and implement improvements to the New Business process

About you

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Knowledge and understanding of good practice in change management.
  • Project management experience or involvement in project implementations.
  • Financial services experience (ideally asset management).
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of financial products and instruments.
  • An understanding of back and middle office functions and relationships.
  • High level of structure and organisation and the ability to work across teams.
  • Planning skills, including the ability to effectively prioritise competing priorities.
  • Logical, structured thought processes and good problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills - able to engage with and gain confidence of senior management and business representatives.
  • Strong communication skills including presenting, with the ability to adapt communications to a range of different stakeholders including executives.
  • Investment operations experience.
  • Asset management and/or pensions sector experience.
  • Experience of onboarding new assets, products, instruments and mandates.
  • Experience of managing multiple projects or implementation initiatives simultaneously.
