Job summary

Disrupt Talent is seeking an Exhibition Project Co-Ordinator in East London to oversee modular stand projects from brief to delivery. You will work with the owner and production team to plan, cost, and produce build-ready solutions using beMatrix/Aluvision and LED/AV tech.

The role requires hands-on project management, close client interaction, and ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget. Office-based with overtime during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Experience in exhibition stand project management.

Are you an Exhibition Project Co-Ordinator who understands how a stand goes from an initial brief to a finished, buildable solution?

We're recruiting for a growing exhibition and event technology business in East London that specialises in modular exhibition stands combined with LED, AV and digital technology.

This is a hands-on project management role for someone who understands the exhibition design and build world and wants genuine ownership of their projects.

You'll work closely with the business owner and wider production team, taking projects from initial brief through design development, costing, technical planning and production before handing over to the onsite delivery team.

The Role

You'll manage multiple exhibition projects simultaneously, acting as the key link between the client, design, stock, production and delivery teams.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Managing modular exhibition stand projects from brief through to delivery
• Working directly with clients to understand their requirements and develop practical solutions
• Developing and adapting stand layouts using SketchUp
• Working with modular systems such as beMatrix, Aluvision or similar
• Preparing project quotations, estimates and specifications
• Checking stock availability and allocating equipment against live projects
• Using Current RMS or similar stock/hire/project management software
• Specifying graphics, furniture, lighting, LED screens, displays and other AV requirements
• Coordinating SEG fabric graphics and exhibition print
• Producing accurate information for production and installation teams
• Managing suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Keeping projects on schedule and within budget
• Managing client changes throughout the project lifecycle
• Resolving technical, logistical and production challenges
• Ensuring every project is properly prepared before being handed over to the onsite team

What Are We Looking For?

We're looking for someone who already understands the exhibition stand environment.

You Could Currently Be An

You don't necessarily need to arrive with every element of the role mastered.

The priority is someone with a good understanding of modular exhibition stands, strong project management skills and the ability to confidently deal with clients.

Experience with beMatrix, Aluvision or another modular exhibition system would be particularly valuable.

You should ideally have experience in several of the following:

• Exhibition stand project management
• Modular exhibition stand systems
• SketchUp or similar 3D software
• Exhibition estimating and costing
• SEG graphics and exhibition print
• AV, LED or display technology
• Current RMS or similar software
• Production planning
• Client management
• Exhibition venues and organiser requirements

If you're a strong exhibition Project Manager who hasn't previously been responsible for the creative design element, we'd still like to hear from you. There is scope to develop this side of the role.

Equally, someone earlier in their exhibition career with the right technical understanding, attitude and ambition could be considered.

The Environment

This is a growing business, so you'll have the opportunity to work closely with the leadership team and have real involvement in how the exhibition operation develops.

Longer term, as the division grows, responsibilities across design, sales, project management and production are expected to become more specialised.

For now, this is an opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility and being close to every stage of a project.

It is an office-based role in East London, and flexibility is important. Exhibitions don't always operate to a standard 9-5, so there will be overtime and occasional evening, weekend or site requirements during busy delivery periods.

Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 depending on experience, with some flexibility for an exceptional candidate.

Previous experience within exhibitions, modular stands or a closely related exhibition design and build environment is highly desirable.
