Job summary

London Audio Visual Ltd. is seeking an experienced Exhibition Stand Project Manager for our East London headquarters. This role covers full project lifecycle from client brief to on-site installation, requiring hands-on involvement and strong communication with clients.

You will work across design, estimating, sales and technical planning, leveraging SketchUp and modular systems to deliver innovative, integrated AV stands. The position is full-time and office-based with overtime as needed.

We are looking for an experienced Exhibition Stand Project Manager to join our growing team at our East London headquarters.

We design, produce and deliver modular exhibition stands across the UK, with a strong focus on integrating technology such as LED walls, display screens, touchscreens and other AV solutions into our stands.

This is a varied, hands‑on position covering the full lifecycle of an exhibition project. You will work across design, estimating, sales, technical planning and project management, taking projects from the initial client brief through to successful installation on site.

This is not purely a desk‑based project management role. We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of how exhibition stands actually go together, who can develop practical solutions, communicate confidently with clients and take ownership of projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

Manage exhibition stand projects from initial enquiry through to completion

Interpret client briefs and develop creative, practical and commercially viable solutions

Produce and develop exhibition stand designs using SketchUp

Prepare quotations, estimates and project specifications

Design and plan stands using Aluvision, beMatrix or similar modular framing systems

Specify stand components, graphics, furniture, lighting and AV requirements

Plan and manage SEG fabric graphics and other exhibition print

Integrate LED walls, TVs, touchscreens and other AV equipment into stand designs

Produce accurate equipment, stock and material requirements

Use Current RMS or similar hire/stock/project management software

Liaise directly with clients throughout the design and delivery process

Coordinate suppliers, production teams, warehouse staff and installation crews

Manage project budgets, schedules and deadlines

Prepare clear technical and production information for build teams

Identify and resolve technical, logistical and design issues

Manage multiple live exhibition projects simultaneously

Support exhibition installations and site activity when required

Ensure projects are delivered safely, accurately, on time and to a high standard

What We're Looking For

Previous professional experience within the exhibition stand industry is essential.

You should have strong experience in several of the following areas:

Modular exhibition systems, particularly Aluvision and/or beMatrix

SketchUp or comparable 3D design software

Exhibition stand project management

Exhibition stand estimating and costing

SEG graphics and exhibition print

AV and display technology

Hire, stock or project management software such as Current RMS

Production and installation planning

Client and supplier management

You will also need:

Excellent organisational and project management skills

Strong technical and practical understanding

Excellent attention to detail

Confident written and verbal communication

The ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑moving environment

A proactive approach to problem‑solving

The ability to work independently and take ownership of projects

A good understanding of how exhibition stands are manufactured, prepared and installed

The right to work in the UK

Experience in any of the following would be an advantage, but is not essential:

Exhibition stand sales and business development

AutoCAD or other CAD/design software

RAMS and venue documentation

Electrical and lighting specifications

Logistics and transport planning

UK exhibition venues and organiser requirements

Hands‑on modular stand building or installation experience

Working Hours

This is a full‑time, permanent, office‑based position at our East London headquarters, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Due to the nature of the exhibition industry, regular overtime and occasional evening, weekend or site work will be required, particularly around installations and busy periods.
