Job summary

Barhale is seeking a Project Manager to deliver multiple ongoing civil engineering projects in Reading. You will work with Estimating, engineers and surveyors to ensure quality, safety, and timely completion while achieving maximum commercial performance.

The role requires delivering projects from design through handover, coordinating programmes, managing costs, and maintaining client relations. Barhale promotes from within and offers strong career progression.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of contract conditions and CDM regulations.
• Experience in Design Management and risk management.
• Strong cost control, forecasting and cost reporting.
• Ability to use Primavera P6 software or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Produce financial forecasts, monitor project costs and report to Contracts Manager.
• Deliver projects from the design phase to handover documentation.
• Review progress, budget resources and planning.
• Review work packages and ensure the scope of work is clearly defined and understood.
• Chair weekly site meetings and maintain accurate records of discussions and actions.
• Develop construction programmes with Barhale staff.
• Coordinate site investigations and management of site health and safety.
