Job summary

Search Consultancy Ltd is actively recruiting a Project Manager to cover multiple heavy civil engineering projects across Scotland on behalf of one of our key clients who are an established contractor in the civil engineering sectors.

The successful candidate will have a degree in civil engineering, at least 2 years' PM experience, and NEC and MS Project experience. Flexibility on location and CSCS/SMSTS are essential, with an attractive salary and benefits package.

• At least 2 years' experience as a Project Manager.
• Experience in civil engineering projects, heavy earthworks, wind farms or renewables.
• NEC and Microsoft Project experience essential.
• Flexibility on location essential.
• Valid CSCS and SMSTS.

Responsibilities

• Cover multiple heavy civil engineering projects across Scotland.
• Manage daily on-site operations and ensure timescales are met safely and accurately.
• Report weekly to the Contracts Manager on progress issues and concerns.
• Deliver the programme on time to ensure project success.
• Support Site Agents on site.
• Perform other project management duties as required.

Search are actively recruiting for a Project Manager to cover multiple heavy civil engineering projects across Scotland on behalf of one of our key clients who are an established contractor in the civil engineering sectors.

Our client

• Our client is a contractor who has been operating for over 70 years across the UK working across a number of Joint Ventures, Public-Private Partnerships and alternative forms of contract on well-known and celebrated projects;

What you'll be doing:

• The successful Project Manager will be covering multiple heavy civil engineering projects across Scotland;
• Manage the daily operations on site and ensure project timescales are met within a safe and accurate fashion,
• Reporting weekly to the Contracts Manager on key aspects of progress issues and concerns,
• Contribute and help to ensure that success throughout all projects is achieved by delivering the programme on time,
• Support Site Agents on site,
• Any other project management duties as required.

What you'll need to be successful:

• Ideally, the candidate will be degree-educated within civil engineering;
• At least 2 years' experience as a Project Manager;
• Previous experience in civil engineering projects is VERY desirable, ideally heavy earthworks, wind farms or other renewables;
• NEC and Microsoft Project experience is essential;
• Flexibility on location is essential;
• Valid CSCS, SMSTS, is essential.
