Job summary

Search Consultancy Ltd is recruiting for a Project Manager to lead a heavy civil engineering and marine project in the North East of England on behalf of a well‑established contractor. You will oversee on‑site operations, drive the programme, and report progress to the Contracts Manager.

The ideal candidate will have a civil engineering degree, 2+ years as PM experience, NEC/MS Project proficiency, CSCS/SMSTS, and be based with travel to sites from Inverness.

Qualifications

• Degree-educated in civil engineering (preferred).
• At least 2 years' experience as a Project Manager.
• NEC and Microsoft Project experience essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily on-site operations and ensure timescales are met.
• Report weekly to Contracts Manager on progress and concerns.
• Support Site Agents and deliver the programme on time.
• Duties as required for project management across the works.

Search are actively recruiting for a Project Manager for a heavy civil engineering / marine project in the North East of England on behalf of one of our key clients who are an established contractor in the civil engineering sectors. Our client

What you'll be doing:

• The successful Project Manager will be working on a heavy civil engineering project in the North East of England;
• Manage the daily operations on site and ensure project timescales are met within a safe and accurate fashion,
• Reporting weekly to the Contracts Manager on key aspects of progress issues and concerns,
• Contribute and help to ensure that success throughout all projects is achieved by delivering the programme on time,
• Support Site Agents on site,
• Any other project management duties as required.

What you'll need to be successful:

• Ideally, the candidate will be degree-educated within civil engineering;
• At least 2 years' experience as a Project Manager;
• Previous experience in civil engineering projects is VERY desirable, NEC and Microsoft Project experience is essential;
• Based from Inverness office is essential with ability to visit sites;
• Valid CSCS, SMSTS, is essential.
