Job summary

Search Consultancy Ltd. is recruiting a Contracts Manager to lead multiple civil engineering projects in Scotland. You will oversee pre-construction through to completion, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery while guiding Project Managers and site teams.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication and a robust understanding of contracts and costs to maximise programme performance and opportunities for the business.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager within civil engineering.
• Proven experience managing multiple projects and operational teams.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering construction methods and project delivery.
• Commercial awareness with a good understanding of contracts, costs and project performance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing multiple civil engineering projects from commencement through to successful completion.
• Providing leadership and support to Project Managers, Site Agents, Site Managers and wider site teams.
• Monitoring project programmes, costs, resources and overall performance.
• Managing client relationships, subcontractors, suppliers and other key project stakeholders.
• Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with contractual, health and safety, quality and environmental requirements.
• Identifying and managing commercial, operational and programme risks while supporting the wider business with future opportunities.

We are working with a well-established and growing civil engineering contractor with an excellent reputation across Scotland to assist them in hiring a Contracts Manager for their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager to join a successful business and take responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple civil engineering projects. Working closely with the operational and commercial teams, you will oversee projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, commercially and to programme.

As the Contracts Manager your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
