Job summary

Paxton Personnel Ltd in Scotland is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a permanent, full-time role delivering civil engineering and construction projects across the Scottish Highlands. You will lead site teams, coordinate subcontractors, manage programmes and budgets, and maintain client relationships from mobilization to handover.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, deep knowledge of safety practices, and a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Previous experience leading construction or civil engineering projects.
• Strong experience managing site teams and subcontractors.
• Good understanding of construction programmes and project planning.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project costs.
• Excellent knowledge of health & safety requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain strong client relationships.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Relevant construction or civil engineering qualification would be advantageous.
• SMSTS and CSCS qualifications are desirable.
• First Aid qualification would be advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of projects.
• Manage and coordinate site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Develop and monitor construction programmes and project schedules.
• Manage labour, plant, materials and subcontractor resources.
• Work closely with commercial teams to monitor project costs and performance.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Chair and attend project progress meetings.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and other project stakeholders.
• Identify and manage project risks, delays and potential issues.
• Monitor progress and provide regular project reports.
• Ensure appropriate project documentation and records are maintained.
• Oversee projects through to successful completion and handover.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join an established contractor delivering projects across the Scottish Highlands.

This is a permanent opportunity for an experienced construction professional to take responsibility for the successful delivery of projects, managing site teams, subcontractors, programmes, budgets and client relationships from commencement through to completion.

About You

We are interested in speaking with experienced Project Managers from a civil engineering, infrastructure or construction background.

You should have:
