Job summary

365 Recruit is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a major £12.5m Worthing scheme. The role requires a strong background in RC frames and groundworks, with a proven track record delivering projects of similar scale and complexity.

You will own and coordinate site operations, programme, and delivery, managing teams, subcontractors and suppliers while ensuring safety, quality, and commercial performance.

Qualifications

• RC frame and groundworks experience essential.
• Experience delivering projects £10m-£15m+ in the region.
• Experience with RC frame, groundworks or specialist concrete contractor.
• Strong understanding of reinforced concrete construction and temporary works.
• Experience managing site teams and subcontractors on demanding projects.
• Excellent programme management and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day delivery of the RC frame and groundworks package.
• Oversee site operations, programme and project delivery.
• Coordinate site teams, engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials and resources to maintain programme.
• Work closely with the client, design team and other project stakeholders.
• Monitor progress against programme and identify risks.
• Chair and attend progress, coordination and site meetings.
• Ensure works are completed to drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain high health & safety standards on site.
• Oversee temporary works and sequencing of concrete and groundworks activities.
• Manage technical queries and ensure prompt resolution.
• Produce progress reports for senior management.
• Drive the project through to completion and handover.

We are currently recruiting an experienced Project Manager for a major £12.5m project in Worthing.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in reinforced concrete (RC) frames and groundworks, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects or substantial packages of a similar scale and complexity.

This is a key delivery position requiring someone capable of taking ownership of the project, coordinating site operations and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with programme, quality and commercial requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day delivery of the RC frame and groundworks package.
• Take overall responsibility for site operations, programme and project delivery.
• Manage site teams, engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials and resources to maintain programme.
• Work closely with the client, design team and other project stakeholders.
• Monitor progress against programme and identify potential delays or delivery risks.
• Chair and attend progress, coordination and site meetings.
• Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety across the project.
• Oversee temporary works, sequencing and coordination of concrete and groundworks activities.
• Manage technical queries and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
• Produce progress reports and provide regular updates to senior management.
• Drive the project through to successful completion and handover.

Candidate Requirements

• Strong RC frame and groundworks experience - essential.
• Proven track record delivering projects/packages in the region of £10m-£15m+.
• Previous experience working for an RC frame, groundworks or specialist concrete contractor.
• Strong understanding of reinforced concrete construction, groundworks and associated temporary works.
• Experience managing site teams and subcontractors on technically demanding projects.
• Excellent programme management and organisational skills.
• Strong commercial awareness.
• Confident client-facing communication skills.
• Proactive approach to problem solving and project delivery.
• Relevant construction management qualifications and current site certification.

The Worthing scheme has a value of approximately £12.5m, so we are looking for an experienced Project Manager who has previously operated successfully on projects of a comparable size.

This position would suit an established RC Frame & Groundworks Project Manager who is comfortable taking ownership of a substantial project and driving delivery from site
