Job description

We're looking for a Project Manager to join our Transportation team based in Penrith to deliver a major project on the A66. This high‑profile scheme will be delivered in a collaborative environment, embracing DfMA solutions and a strong digital agenda. A full driving licence is essential for this position.

Contract: Permanent, full‑time 45 hours per week – flexibility available.

Salary: £80,000 – £90,000 per year + £6.1k car allowance + private healthcare + benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Managing all phases of the project, from contract award to close‑out, ensuring all contractual requirements are met.
  • Delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and achieving the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitoring and communicating project financial performance and administration for all assigned projects.
  • Coordinating operatives, subcontractors, and suppliers in a planned and controlled manner to ensure efficiency and minimise costs.
  • Implementing and complying with Kier's SHE policy and procedures, all legal requirements, and best practice – including regular safety inspections within the allocated business.

  • Minimum HNC/HND in an engineering‑related discipline or equivalent.
  • A recognised project management qualification.
  • Significant project management experience within the construction industry.
