Job summary

DeverellSmith Group is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead a portfolio of high-end retail interior fit-out projects across the UK. You will own the full project lifecycle from feasibility to handover, ensuring delivery on time, on budget and to exacting standards.

You will manage budgets, programmes and client relationships, directing M&E/FF&E integration, value engineering, and risk analysis. A proactive leadership style and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience delivering projects with a proven track record.
• Experience delivering high-end retail interior fit-outs across the UK.
• Contractor or client-side experience in retail, leisure or hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of M&E and FF&E.
• Solid understanding of construction safety and H&S legislation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead client roll-outs for new stores and refurbishments.
• Manage budgets, programmes, cost reporting and cost sign-off.
• Run feasibility studies with risk analysis and top-line estimates.
• Produce detailed estimates and capex forecasts.
• Drive value engineering across M&E and FF&E without compromising quality.
• Negotiate contracts and schedules of works, and challenging contractors and suppliers.
• Lead site meetings, issuing minutes and producing weekly client updates.
• Overseeing H&S and statutory compliance across projects.
• Managing external consultants to deliver on time, on budget and safely.
• Coaching and developing Project Coordinators.
• Building strong client relationships that create new business opportunities.

My client, a growing project management consultancy delivering high-end interiors across the UK, is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead a portfolio of new store roll-outs and refurbishments for leading retail, leisure and hospitality brands.

The role
