Zenzero Solutions Ltd in Coventry is seeking a Project Engineer to deliver Modern Desktop and Infrastructure projects. You will drive Microsoft 365 migrations, Azure upgrades and on-premise modernization, combining hands-on delivery with strategic thinking and client focus.

Reporting to the Head of Modern Desktop & Infrastructure, you will collaborate with project management and service teams, document changes, and act as escalation point for complex tickets while ensuring projects stay on time

Competenze

In-depth knowledge of Entra, Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
Experience with on-premise infrastructure and hybrid architectures.
Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ConnectWise Manage, ServiceNow, Remedy or Autotask.
Strong problem solving, communication and collaboration skills.
Security-first mindset with attention to detail.
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

About the Role

The Project Engineer plays a key role in delivering technical projects across Modern Desktop and Infrastructure. With a focus on Modern Workplace migrations and infrastructure upgrades, this is a hands‑on role that combines technical delivery, problem‑solving and a strategic mindset. Reporting to the Head of Modern Desktop & Infrastructure, you will work closely with Project Management, Account Management and service teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. You will also act as a specialist escalation point for complex service desk tickets, helping to maintain smooth, efficient and client-focused service delivery.

Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of technical projects of varying size and complexity, including server and domain configurations, Microsoft 365 migrations and Azure migrations.
Deliver Modern Workplace migrations and infrastructure upgrades, supporting the wider technical disciplines involved in each project.
Partner with Project Management to ensure project delivery is efficient, effective, on time and within budget.
Collaborate with Account Management to provide clients with exceptional service and maintain a client-focused approach.
Implement IT solutions, isolate problems and resolve issues for end users across a range of infrastructures.
Align technical solutions with client business requirements, including hardware and software upgrades and the removal of outdated solutions.
Own complex technical escalations from service teams and act as a specialist escalation point for service desk tickets.
Ensure client system changes are fully documented, recorded and communicated through the appropriate systems and to the relevant parties.

Requirements

Essential

In-depth technical understanding of Entra, Azure, Microsoft 365, on‑premise infrastructure and general business IT systems.
Experience using ConnectWise Manage or another ITSM tool, such as ServiceNow, Remedy or Autotask.
A strong passion for IT and a genuine interest in exploring and sharing new technologies and methodologies that can improve business efficiency.
A security‑first mindset and exceptional attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non‑technical audiences.
Excellent problem‑solving skills, using conventional or creative approaches as appropriate.
The ability to work collaboratively and independently, manage time and workload effectively, and prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines.
The ability to follow established procedures while proactively suggesting and implementing necessary updates.

Desirable

Awareness of ITIL frameworks and methodologies.
Experience in project delivery and working alongside project managers.
Previous experience working for a Managed Services Provider or Managed Security Services Provider.
