Job summary

Galliford Try is seeking a Project Engineer to join their Control Systems & Electrical Design team in Plymouth. You will manage multiple projects from concept through handover, delivering compliant and cost-effective electrical designs for MCCs, panels and LV distribution while coordinating with customers and suppliers.

The role involves tendering support, site surveys and FAT/SAT activities, with opportunities to work across cross-functional teams in a busy, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering experience in industrial/manufacturing/utilities or systems integration.
• Experience designing MCCs, control panels and LV electrical systems.
• Experience in project engineering and delivering multiple concurrent projects.

Responsibilities

• Managing multiple projects from order to completion, ensuring safe, on-time delivery within budget.
• Reviewing specifications and scope to develop engineering solutions.
• Produce electrical designs and BOMs for MCCs, panels, drives and instrumentation.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams during delivery.
• Support FAT, SAT, commissioning and handover activities.
