Job summary

Visum Recruitment Ltd. seeks a Project Engineer (Electrical & Controls) in Gloucestershire to own projects from proposal through delivery, liaising with customers and sales. The role combines hands-on technical work with collaborative support for the sales team.

You will work on electrical control panels, circuit design and automated systems, reading complex drawings, with strong Excel usage for tracking and analysis. Occasional UK site visits are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in project engineering and technical sales support.
• Strong knowledge of electrical control panels, circuit design and automated systems.
• Able to read and interpret complex technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee projects from proposal to delivery with approx. 50/50 balance.
• Coordinate with fabrication teams and panel builders on progress.
• Develop customer relationships via regular calls and site visits.
• Prepare technical proposals, tenders and cost analyses; manage subcontractors.
• Provide technical sales support and review datasheets and manuals.
