Job summary

Galliford Try is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer for our Environment Business Unit, based in Packington with UK site travel across the region. You will lead electrical project delivery from surveys through to construction, coordinating with internal teams and external designers to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role requires strong technical understanding, commitment to safety, and the ability to mentor junior staff while collaborating across multifunctional teams on AMP 8 Severn Trent

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical engineering qualifications and relevant industry experience.
• Strong understanding of NEC 4 contracts and sustainable development principles.
• Knowledge of CDM regulations, current legislation, QA, and Health & Safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supporting delivery of Waste Non-Infrastructure projects through all project phases.
• Coordinating with internal teams and external designers (Structural, Electrical & Mechanical).
• Managing subcontractors during site investigations, design and construction stages.
• Producing construction-stage documentation and securing necessary permits and approvals.
• Participating in design and progress meetings and mentoring junior team members.
• Using the Common Data Environment (CDE) to ensure project information is accurate and accessible.
• Driving safety and collaboration in line with the Health, Safety and Environment culture.
