Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a commercially aware Project Coordinator for a 6-month contract in Aberdeen with hybrid working. You will support aftermarket, repair, upgrade and refurbishment projects, coordinating across customers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with exceptional service.

You will review contractual requirements, manage work packages, monitor progress and provide status reports while maintaining accurate documentation and supporting budget controls.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in a technical or engineering discipline.
• Experience in project coordination or contract administration within an engineering, manufacturing or energy environment.
• Strong understanding of commercial contracts and project financial controls.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with SAP and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret customer contractual requirements and specifications.
• Coordinate projects through strip, overhaul, repair and upgrade activities, ensuring delivery targets and profitability objectives are achieved.
• Manage parts and rental deliverables to support customer requirements.
• Develop and issue work packages and coordinate activities to ensure timely project execution.
• Monitor project progress, identifying risks and escalating any issues that could impact agreed delivery dates.
• Act as a key liaison between customers, project management, operations, engineering, quality and production teams.
• Organise project meetings and maintain accurate records and action logs.
• Ensure all customer communications and project documentation are maintained accurately.
• Provide regular status updates, forecasts and performance reports to management and customers.
• Support financial performance through effective budget control, invoicing accuracy and management of receivables.
• Develop recovery plans where required and communicate solutions proactively to customers.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance business performance and customer satisfaction.

Project Coordinator (6-Month Contract) Location: Aberdeen (Hybrid Working) Contract: 6 Months Industry: Energy / Engineering Services Start Date: ASAP

We are recruiting on behalf of a confidential client for an experienced Project Coordinator to join their Aberdeen team on a 6-month contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware and customer-focused professional to support the delivery of aftermarket, repair, upgrade and refurbishment projects within a fast-paced engineering environment.

Working closely with customers, internal stakeholders and supply chain partners, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget while maintaining exceptional levels of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Degree qualification in a technical or engineering discipline.
• Previous experience in project coordination, project management or contract administration within an engineering, manufacturing or energy environment.
• Strong understanding of commercial contracts and project financial controls.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong negotiating and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office applications and SAP.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Desirable Experience

• Experience supporting repair, refurbishment, upgrade or aftermarket service projects.
• Knowledge of long lead‑time planning and delivery management.
• Experience producing detailed project status reports and performance metrics.
• Understanding of budget management, margin performance and delivery KPIs.
