Project Controls Specialists (all levels) - Performance & Reporting

Our PMO Scotland team is expanding its Controls community. We seek passionate candidates across all professional, senior professional, and managerial grades to support early careers, grow into leadership roles, and foster our values, especially 'Bringing out the best in Everyone'.

With growth in major programmes, projects, and clients, we are looking for flexible, mobile Planning and Scheduling / Performance Reporting / Risk Management professionals to deliver services across sectors including Power, Water, Rail, Defence, Nuclear, Local Authority, and Shipyards. Travel within Scotland may be required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Tailoring reporting processes to meet client needs and align with best practices.
  2. Delivering performance and reporting management plans based on project requirements.
  3. Promoting the benefits of Performance Reporting & Analytics within project teams.
  4. Implementing and maintaining reporting systems to track project controls performance.
  5. Establishing a robust Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) with project teams.
  6. Rolling out reporting calendars for consistent performance data analysis.
  7. Defining data requirements and supporting digital team implementations.
  8. Developing and maintaining corporate datasets and advising on data quality.
  9. Preparing governance materials for projects, programmes, and portfolios.
  10. Identifying performance recovery strategies for stakeholders.
  11. Supporting KPI development and contributing to performance measures documentation.
  12. Creating project performance reports and dashboards with recommendations.
  13. Leading presentations for governance forums and performance reviews.
  14. Participating in communities of practice and training team members on reporting processes.

Experience in project or programme environments is essential, with an understanding of how other Project Controls aspects interact with Reporting. Knowledge of Project Controls software (e.g., Primavera P6, Active Risk Manager, Ecosys) and data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI) is desirable. A good grasp of data architecture and models is also important.
