Job Description

Our PMO Scotland team is expanding its Controls community. We seek passionate and ambitious candidates across all professional, senior professional, and managerial grades to support early careers, grow into leadership roles, and contribute to our communities of practice, emphasizing our value of Bringing out the best in Everyone.

With regional growth including new Major Programmes, Projects, and Clients, we are looking for flexible Planning, Scheduling, Performance Reporting, and Risk Management professionals to deliver services across Scotland. Travel within Scotland may be required, depending on the project, and will be discussed during recruitment. Opportunities span sectors like Power, Water, Rail, Defence, Nuclear, Local Authority, and Shipyards.

You will work within our Project Controls team on high-profile infrastructure projects, providing performance reporting and analysis. Responsibilities include developing work breakdown structures, establishing progress and cost monitoring, producing control reports, and offering analysis and recommendations for clients. Experience in infrastructure project controls (Energy, Defence, Rail, Airports, Highways, Water/Utilities) and familiarity with Programme Controls Management, Earned Value (EVM), Change & Risk Management, Planning, or PMO are required.

Qualifications
  • Graduate qualification in a relevant discipline with some project control experience.
  • Experience managing or controlling projects, programmes, or portfolios.
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6, Power BI, Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Strong time management, quick thinking, and deadline adherence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of planning principles and schedule construction.
  • Experience with schedule assurance reviews using Primavera Schedlog, Acumen Fuse, or similar tools.
  • Skills in schedule monitoring, baseline management, progress data collection, performance measurement, and variance reporting.
  • Ability to evaluate project status and foster a positive Schedule Management culture.
