Our PMO Scotland team seeks to expand its Controls community by welcoming passionate and ambitious candidates across all professional, senior professional, and managerial grades. We support early careers, leadership growth, and foster our values, especially Bringing out the best in Everyone.

With regional growth including new major programmes, projects, and clients, we are looking for flexible, mobile Planning and Scheduling / Performance Reporting / Risk Management candidates to deliver services across Scotland. Travel within Scotland may be required depending on the project, and this can be discussed during recruitment. You will have opportunities to work across sectors including Power, Water, Rail, Defence, Nuclear, Local Authority, and Shipyards.

You will work within our Project Controls team on high-profile infrastructure projects, providing performance reporting and analysis support. Responsibilities may include working with cost and planning engineers to develop work breakdown structures, establishing progress and cost monitoring methods, producing project control reports, and offering performance analysis and recommendations.

Relevant experience includes working in a project controls environment within sectors like Energy, Defence, Rail, Airports, Highways, Water/Utilities, and familiarity with Programme Controls Management, Earned Value (EVM), Change & Risk Management, Planning, or PMO.

  • Typically, a qualified graduate in a relevant discipline with some experience in project control.
  • Experience managing controls in projects, programmes, or portfolios.
  • Proficiency with Primavera (P6), Power BI, Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Strong time management, quick thinking, and deadline orientation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of best practice planning principles and schedule construction.
  • Experience with schedule assurance reviews using Primavera Schedlog, Acumen Fuse, or similar tools.
  • Skills in schedule monitoring, baseline management, progress data collection, performance measurement, and variance reporting.
  • Ability to evaluate project status and promote a positive Schedule Management culture.
