Summary

In April 2015 a huge blaze gutted the house at Clandon Park - our project seeks to bring it back into use, creating a place to explore the history and making of a great house.

We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Project Coordinator the Clandon Project team to deliver one of the biggest heritage projects the National Trust has ever tackled.

This role is ideal for someone looking to expand their experience on a major, highly complex project before moving into a Senior Project Coordinator or Project Officer role.

You’ll play an integral part in ensuring the smooth running of the project, working closely with our team and wider internal and external stakeholders.

Contract: Fixed Term until 31st March 2027

Weekend and Bank Holiday working may be required, the expectation is 22.5 hours to be worked over 3 full days a week, discussed at interview.

What it's like to work here

Reporting to the project Delivery Director, you’ll welcome the chance to work with, and learn from, a passionate and collaborative project team.

Our team comprises project managers, curators, community and volunteering specialists, an external design team and many technical specialists.

We operate a hybrid working arrangement, with a balance of office and home working and regular travel to Clandon for site visits and meetings.

What You'll Be Doing

You’ll provide general flexible support across project, as well as a particular focus on our community engagement work, collections store and project archive. You’ll also support the organisation and delivery of public facing events.

You’ll champion open and productive communication, record-keeping and administration, while always being willing to get stuck in and help practically with the project when needed.

You’ll work alongside the senior leadership team and others to make sure the project runs smoothly, reporting regularly to your line manager. By building strong relationships, you’ll help all members of the team to work at their productive best towards achieving the ambitions of the project.

You can view the full role profile for this role in the document attached. You don't need to have all of the knowledge, skills and experience listed in the role profile; this is just to provide a full picture of what’s possible in this role.

We'd Love To Hear From You If You’re
  • used to co-ordinating projects and working as part of a project team
  • flexible and people-focused, with a background in giving a great service to clients and colleagues alike
  • highly organised, with a strong attention to detail
  • adept at writing and communicating, with excellent IT skills
