Job description

We're looking for a Senior Project Co-ordinator to join our team and support the Financial Growth Portfolio and Experience & Revenue Directorate.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of one of the National Trust's most important strategic priorities. You'll support the successful delivery of high-profile initiatives that help drive growth, improve visitor and supporter experiences, and deliver long-term impact across the organisation.

What it's like to work here

You'll join a supportive team working on high-profile strategic priorities across the organisation. Collaborating with colleagues from different teams, you'll support initiatives that drive growth, improve performance and deliver organisational change.

We're committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and able to succeed. We welcome applicants from a wide range of backgrounds and are interested in the skills, experience and potential you'll bring to the role.

Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview.

What you'll be doing

You'll provide high-quality coordination, administration and delivery support across a portfolio of strategic initiatives and directorate priorities. You'll coordinate meetings, workshops and events, support project planning and governance, manage actions and key documentation, and prepare reports, presentations and communications. Working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders, you'll help keep priorities on track, maintain portfolio records and reporting, and identify opportunities to improve processes and ways of working. No two days are the same, offering a varied role with real impact across the organisation.

You can view the full role profile for this role in the document attached. You don't need to have all of the knowledge, skills and experience listed in the role profile; this is just to provide a full picture of what’s possible in this role.

Who we're looking for

You’ll bring a broad range of the following knowledge, skills and experience, shaped by different roles, sectors or career paths, and the judgment to apply them effectively at scale;

  • Experience supporting projects, programmes, portfolios or complex operational activity.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a track record of delivering accurate, high-quality work.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams and levels of seniority.
  • Experience coordinating meetings, workshops, events and associated actions through to completion.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret information and present it clearly for different audiences.
  • A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach, combined with confidence using Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
The package

The National Trust has the motto ‘For everyone, for ever’ at its heart. We’re working hard to create an inclusive culture, where everyone feels they belong. It’s important that our people reflect and represent the diversity of the communities and audiences we serve. We welcome and value difference, so when we say we’re for everyone, we want everyone to be welcome in our teams too.
