Job summary

A leading (Re)Insurer is looking for a Project Accountant to support finance transformation initiatives. This contract role focuses on key projects including Phinsys implementation and enhancing Syndicate Finance operations. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience and a strong understanding of the Lloyd's market landscape.

Qualifications

• Proven project delivery experience in Syndicate Finance or Lloyd's market.
• Hands-on experience with Phinsys.
• Strong understanding of finance operations and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support Phinsys implementation with Go-Live planned for Q3 2025.
• Assist in Syndicate's Solvency UK preparations.
• Help implement Target Operating Model across Finance.

Overview:

We’re supporting the Head of Syndicate Finance at a leading (Re)Insurer with the delivery of several key finance transformation initiatives. This is a hands-on Project Accountant role for an experienced professional with proven delivery capability across Syndicate Finance.

• Support the successful Phinsys implementation (Go-Live planned for Q3 2025)
• Contribute to the Syndicate’s Solvency UK preparations and reporting requirements
• Assist in shaping and embedding the Target Operating Model (TOM) across Finance
• Support implementation of a new Managing Agent (MA) structure

Required Experience:

• Proven project delivery within Syndicate Finance or Lloyd’s market environments
• Hands-on knowledge of Phinsys – either through project implementation or BAU support
• Strong understanding of Syndicate Finance operations, including:
• Reporting and ledger processes
• Solvency II / Solvency UK compliance
• Underwriting Data Warehouse (DW) and Policy Admin Systems (PAS)
• Highly organised, self-starter, able to manage multiple deliverables and shifting priorities
