Job description

The Møller Institute is looking for a Programme Designer to join our Executive Education team and create high-quality executive education and leadership development programmes for clients across a range of sectors and geographies.

This is a varied, client-facing role combining learning design, project management and stakeholder engagement. You will work with clients to understand organisational priorities and participant needs, then collaborate with academics, practitioners, facilitators, coaches and colleagues to translate those needs into relevant, rigorous and engaging learning experiences.

You will contribute throughout the programme lifecycle, from needs analysis and proposal development through to design, delivery, evaluation and continuous improvement.

Salary: £42,000-£47,000, plus additional benefits
Full-time: 37.5 hours per week
Reports to: Head of Design and Delivery

What you will do

You will:

  • Design bespoke executive education and leadership development programmes tailored to client needs, participant profiles and organisational goals.
  • Conduct learning needs assessments and translate organisational and participant needs into clear programme aims, learning outcomes and learning experiences.
  • Engage directly with clients and senior stakeholders to understand challenges, clarify requirements and develop effective learning solutions.
  • Apply adult learning principles and experiential learning methods to develop engaging and practical programmes.
  • Work with academics, practitioners, facilitators, coaches and other expert contributors to develop programme architecture, session briefs, activities and supporting materials.
  • Develop and quality assure high-quality learning resources across face-to-face, blended and digital formats.
  • Design evaluation and feedback approaches and use evidence to strengthen programme design and demonstrate learning impact and client value.
  • Work closely with Client Development and Programme Delivery colleagues to ensure programmes are feasible, well coordinated and effectively handed over.
  • Manage programme budgets and contributor costs within agreed parameters.
  • Support quality assurance, programme review and continuous improvement across the Executive Education portfolio.
What we are looking for

You will bring:

  • Experience designing effective and engaging adult learning experiences, ideally within executive education or leadership development.
  • A strong understanding of adult learning principles, experiential learning methods and programme architecture.
  • Experience conducting learning needs assessments and translating client and participant needs into clear learning outcomes and programme designs.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple programmes, deadlines, resources and stakeholders.
  • Experience working directly with clients or senior stakeholders and the confidence to challenge assumptions constructively.
  • The ability to develop high-quality learning materials, including presentations, case studies, activities and online resources.
  • Experience using evaluation, assessment or feedback to improve learning experiences.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Commercial awareness, including an understanding of programme budgets, contributor costs, scope and delivery constraints.

Knowledge of facilitation and workshop design would be advantageous, as would experience of executive education, leadership development, professional services, learning and development or a related field.

Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience is required. Relevant professional qualifications in learning design, learning and development or facilitation would be advantageous.
